For now Savdesign is primarily a portfolio of my web design and flash design work. I use this site to get freelance work, and show off my skills to potential clients/employers. When I get large projects that I am not able to handle on my own, I work with several top-notch programmers and designers to help me handle the workload, but in the end I hold full responsibility for the final product. I will be the one to meet with you, discuss all the requirements and address all concerns. I do not outsource work to other web designers or web design companies because Savdesign stands for a certain quality of work, and I will under no circumstances compromise that quality. With time Savdesign will hopefully grow and become a full service web design studio, and the trusted programmers and web designers that I work with now will be partners and/or employees.
Over the past few years I have been steadily improving my Flash development skils, to the point where I now consider myself an expert in just about all aspects of Flash, including Actions Script. You could call it a hobby gone out of control. I have never been a big enthusiast of flash websites, as they tend to put barriers in the way of getting to the information faster. For certain type of sites, however, Flash can be useful in disguising a lack of content, or making boring content more appealing. I got attracted to flash after having created a couple of flash modules, and realizing the there was so much that I still had to learn about actionscript in order to mine the full potential of flash. Actionscript appealed to my sense of logic, and the love affair started there.
This site is coded in transitional XHTML 1.0. You can validate the XHTML and the CSS of each of the pages by clicking on the corresponding links in the footer. The site is programmed in PHP 4.0 with globals off. Content for the work pages is being served by xml, which also powers the flash version of this site. If you have not seen the flash version yet, I invite you to do so. The resources section of this site uses mySQL database, allowing my link partners to add and modify their own links. This section of the site is a work in progress, and will grow to include more useful resources.
